Providing Emotional Support to Youths in Our Community

SYiNC is an intervention programme for youths who have recently sought help at the Institute of Mental Health’s (IMH) Emergency Room. IMH may choose to refer them to our multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

With our team at their side, the youths learn how to de-escalate intense emotions through one-to-one counselling. Group counselling sessions with the youth’s family, where needed, can also strengthen family support for these youths.

Reaching out and seeking help can be a difficult step to take for youths. However, the results can be rewarding.
