Facilitating Therapeutic Youth Services 

Taking the first step to seek help can be a difficult one. However, the results can be rewarding. 

Upper Room is a programme that provides mental health assessment and intervention for youths residing in the central region of Singapore.  

Our multi-disciplinary team of professionals will help you develop the skills you need to manage intense emotions that you may experience.  

We will also work with you and your family to improve familial relations.

Who It’s For

  • Youths aged 12 to 25 years old 
  • Subject to an intake assessment to (i) assess the individual’s suitability and (ii) gather background information to create customised treatment plans 

What You Can Expect

First contact — Assessing needs 
After receiving your enquiry, our friendly professionals will share more about the programme and arrange to conduct an intake assessment with you. This will help guide us on the next steps. 

Post-assessment 
If the intake assessment is successful, a dedicated caseworker will follow you through the 12-month programme. 

Costs 
As this programme is fully funded, you do not have to pay a fee.

Session details 
Each one-on-one session will be: 

  • Between 45 minutes and one hour 
  • Held on a fortnightly or monthly basis, depending on your caseworker’s recommendation 
  • Conducted online via Zoom, or in person at our Bukit Merah or Toa Payoh offices
  • Held Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm

Besides these one-on-one sessions, you will also attend: 

  • Four compulsory group work sessions with other youths where you will learn vital skills for coping with intense emotions
  • One group work session with your parents/caregivers.
