Caring for the
Elderly at Home
To learn how to help your elderly loved one live
safely at home or to seek advice on caregiving
issues, call our Care Line at 6804 6555.
Caring for the elderly or those with disabilities can be an extremely rewarding experience. However, it can also be stressful as caregivers are often faced with new routines and responsibilities.
Having the relevant training provide caregivers with the competence and confidence to provide care at home. A trained Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) will also provide peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones will receive appropriate care at home.
As an approved training provider since 2008, TOUCH Caregivers Support provides customised caregiver training in the homes of caregivers.
Conducted by our team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and nurses, our training may include the following areas depending on your situation:
Handling Skills & Personal Care
- Mobility / walking
- Bed Sponging / Showering
- Wheelchair use
- Exercises – contracture prevention
- Falls prevention – home environmental or equipment advice
- Feeding tube care – enteral feeding
