Academic and personal mentorship to support students in their journey at school and in life.
Run by TOUCH Silent Club, the Mentoring Programme provides Deaf students with regular support for their studies.
Besides offering academic guidance weekly, we also help our students develop a positive mindset, resilience, and relevant life skills, to better contribute to and integrate into society.
This programme mainly caters to Deaf students in primary and secondary schools.
Our programme fee is $12 per session. Subsidised rates are available for those who qualify.
We will conduct a 45-minute face-to-face assessment to gain a better understanding of the student’s preferred style of communication (i.e., signing or lip-reading and talking) and English proficiency level.
Mentoring sessions are held every Saturday at TOUCH premises from 10:30am to 12:30pm, except on public holidays and designated school holidays.
To reduce any distractions and to improve communication, every student will be assigned a mentor for individualised attention during these sessions.
We’re looking for volunteers who know sign language to give one-to-one academic tuition to Deaf students on Saturday mornings.
Tuition sessions will be held in person at our office.
