Creating Strong Parent-Child Bonds

Our workshop aims to help adoptive parents form strong attachments with their adopted child. Learn about: 

  • Strengthening attachments 
  • Building a sense of safety 
  • Enhancing attunement 
  • Being a ‘therapeutic parent’ 

The speaker is a senior social worker and adoptive mother with 20 years of experience supporting parents and children in their adoption journeys. 

The workshop is 1.5h long and will be conducted online via Zoom.

Who It’s For 

This workshop is for any soon-to-be/new adoptive parent who: 

  • Wants to build a strong attachment with your adopted child 
  • Feels that your child is not attaching or settling in well because you have missed out on the early months of attachment with your child  
  • Is finding it hard to manage your adopted child's behaviour and wants to better understand what it means to be a ‘therapeutic parent’.
